Located in a 60 year old mango orchard, this one of a kind "experience center" houses two wings - for men and women. The restroom block is reimagined as a resting space under the mango trees with various seating options and private gardens. The material palette borrows from the sites architecture - using sadarhalli, exposed bricks, teak wood, and bamboo ply. The clerestory windows, slit windows, jaali all facilitate wind movement through the restrooms creating a cool breeze while you're inside, while keeping the critters away. The blocks orient in such a way that a central garden and walkway is carved out connected the gardens on either side.
