A 1960's art deco residence was renovated and modified, with the addition of a new wing on the ground floor, to create the home for a young family of four. The design draws from elements of the house, and diamonds and curves grace every element. The materials were simple and kept true to their nature - Indian marble paired with Spanish black marble, teak wood joinery and cabinetry, fluted glass lights, soft sheers to filter the light. The layout facilitates the distinction between private and public, the spaces joined by a stunning checkered corridor that overlooks the gardens and opens into a backyard.
